We created these Home Energy Use Monitoring Kits because of popular demand. These kits allow a home owner to monitor energy use in their home.and the best way to do this is to adopt a two-pronged approach.

1. Measure total energy consumption in your home - either by monitoring your main electricity meter or by measuring kWh from the main electrical panel.
2. Measure the power consumption & energy use of individual appliances - this is usually done at the wall plug outlet
   

Most of our Home Energy Monitor Kits provides you with two products - EITHER a Watts Up Pro or Kill-A-Watt EZ portable plug power monitor the measure the power usage of individual appliances PLUS one of the following - Cent-a-Meter,  Power Cost Monitor or The Energy Detective - that allows you to monitor total power consumption in your home. The other great new alternative is the EML2020-H which does both jobs in a single product.
