TED Pro Commercial Series Offers

The TED Pro Commercial Package is a three phase electricity monitor that provides business owners/managers an understanding of their energy usage. Once TED is installed, they can instantly view comprehensive electricity data, graphs, voltage readings, and projected monthly bills - all needed to help manage their bottom line!

When monitoring multiple buildings, properties, or franchises, one can easily view stores and offices individually and collectively using Aggredata, an interactive instant tracking and analyzing program.

Equipped with an Energy Control Center, all TED Pro Commercial units provide real-time electricity readings in both dollar and kW amounts with a sensitivity of one watt and +/-2% accuracy.

Features

  • Sensitive to one watt with a +/- 1% accuracy (Meets ANSI C12.1-2008 requirements and California AB1103 requirements for revenue grade metering.)
  • Simple one-time, permanent, weatherproof, and tamper-proof installation inside breaker panel.
  • Works with three phase commercial or single-split phase applications up to 600 Volts and 1200 Amps.
  • Colored LEDs on the desktop Energy Control Center (ECC) alert user to rate-tier changes, high demand, cost, or other user-defined parameters.
  • Compatible with numerous energy or demand-rate billing systems, including fixed, time-of-use, step/tiered, seasonal, demand, or any combination of these.
  • Accommodates taxes, fixed charges, and fuel surcharges to accurately reflect the projected monthly electric bill.
  • Can be configured to automatically adjust thermostat settings or turn off loads based on user-selectable criteria such as the cost of electricity, total use, time of day, budget, or request from a utility or electric provider.
  • Energy use and alerts can be presented on a custom display, computer, over the Internet, on mobile devices, or by text or e-mail messages.
  • For systems with solar, wind, or other generation, multiple MTU/CT sets can provide instant consumption, generation, and net monitoring.
  • Ability to monitor individual circuits with TED Spyder, a optional component which records detailed usage of up to 8 single or multi-phase circuits.

How Does the TED Pro Commercial Work?

TED's three phase electricity monitoring system works with a building's existing electrical system to collect, analyze, & store electricity data in five simple steps:

  1. Electricity flows into building from utility

    Electricity travels from the utility to the building's meter, where the utility measures the amount of electricity usage. Electricity then flows into the building's breaker panel through three main incoming conductors.


  2. Clamps placed around incoming wires

    Inside the breaker panel, Current Transformers (CTs) are clamped around the main incoming wires to accurately measure the amount of electricity the building is using. The CTs are sensitive to one watt with a +/- 1% accuracy.


  3. Measuring unit collects and sends data

    Inside the breaker panel, the CTs are connected to a Measuring Transmitting Unit (MTU). The MTU sends the data via Powerline Carrier Communication (which travels over the existing power line) or, if desired, by using an Ethernet connection.


  4. Energy control center receives and stores data

    An Energy Control Center (ECC) is the data-receiving hub that analyzes and stores real time electricity data. The ECC is embedded with Footprints data-logging software, and connects to any computer or router via Ethernet. The ECC can also be equipped with a ZigBee USNAP card to communicate with an optional wireless display.


  5. Software provides instant valuable information

    Embedded in the ECC is TED's interactive Footprints software, which can be viewed on a computer (locally or remotely), smart phone, wireless display (via ZigBee), or any other Internet-enabled device. TED's comprehensive data provides instant electrical data in both dollar and kWh amounts, allowing business owners/managers determine how to lower their electricity bill.
