Measure Power of Whole House
Our power use monitors tell you how much power is being used in your home (watt meter) and/or show you how much total energy you have used (kWh meter, or watthour meter).
The Power Cost Monitor attaches over top of your existing electric meter and is the easiest of all these products to install. The Energy Detective attaches at the electrical panel and provides additional measurement parameters (eg. volts, amps). If you're interested in 'green' data, choose the Cent-a-Meter which reports green house gas emissions. All three of these meters send power use information to a remote display located in your home.
Also consider the EML 2020. This product also attaches at the panel and measures volts, amps, power etc. Products that attach at the electrical panel, it may require an electrician to install.
